Villefranche Fishing Boat, 65 cm. x 50 cm Oil on canvas, This was painted "pleinair" in the fishing village of Villefranche, which just east of Nice, France. We spent about a week on the Riviera and I was able to get out on location several times. This is painted in a watercolor style using mostly thinned oil paints. The flag and boat are bright and lively in front of the pastel buildings.
